For my site specific project I placed this large urn in the middle of Walkers point, Milwaukee which is said to be built on top of a cemetery. I found that a lot of places in Milwaukee were built on top of cemeteries where a lot of the families either weren't around to relocate their loved ones or they just didn't have the funds to do it. There could be many forgotten people just below our feet. This project was set out in the open to kind of poke fun at how we pass by these facts everyday. The bar down the street even capitalizes on this history by having haunted bar tours. While this urn was set out in the open people avoided it like you would avoid this dark history.
